Membership information

If you want to discuss membership please contact the Secretary or Treasurer (see contacts).

We ask all new members to do a Start Course before joining as they have been organised to give you an introduction to how the club works and who is who.

The completed form should be sent with a cheque to the address on the form.

If you are going to paddle independently of the club, you may wish to consider individual membership of Canoe England, our national governing body. This will provide you with a range of benefits such as Third Party insurance and a water licence which is required on some stretches of water. Please go to for further information.

Membership fees and charges:
Fees are paid annually in January. If you first join the club after June in the first year, then fees are reduced for that year only. Your membership fee covers lake sessions, Milton Road pool sessions and most trips. There are separate charges for  training courses and assessments. Kit hire includes the hire of boats and other kit for trips with the club and independently (when not required for club activities). For independent trips, please contact the Equipment Officer to book kit, which should be returned at the next club lake session if not before.
