Take a trip in good company

You need to be a member to come paddling with us, you can find membership information here.

If you want to talk about trips please contact the Trips Officer (see contacts)

The Club aims to run two trips per month, normally on Sundays. If you have paid for kit hire fee with your membership fee, this covers you to borrow boats and kit for trips. You will need to get yourself and your kit to and from the trip location, but shared lifts/costs are often available.

We explore flat and white water rivers of various levels of difficulty around the country, as well as getting out to sea sometimes. The highest grade of river we currently run is Grade 3, “advanced white water”, but many of us also enjoy more sedate and serene paddling! We also take weekend trips when the water is too far away to reach in a day.

Trips will be on the programme and also flagged to all members who have joined the mailing list

Trips are loosely graded:

Level One – suitable for all paddlers who can manage the distance and weather conditions.

Level Two – suitable for intermediate paddlers and above. The leader will advise if suitable for you.

Please note that participation in trips is at the sole discretion of trip leaders. Trips may be varied or cancelled at any time, in the light of the prevailing conditions.

Dates: as advertised on the website and updated by email

Cost: travel expenses (may be shared), launch fees and accommodation where applicable.

You can download a trips Information Sheet here. It must be read and signed by all wishing to participate on club trips.
